1UP Arcade - Brisbane

We had a fantastic time at 1Up Arcade. The flat rate price and free play is awesome. It means you can restart that game halfway through and kids get the chance to jam out games without worrying about a Game Over. Some real classic games in there. The Pinball machines were by far my favourite. Super cool. For the ability to be able to play up to 8 hours, I thought it was fairly priced and definitely got my moneys worth. Can't wait to go back.

Fun place to spend time reminiscing the good old days. Spacious and well ventilated. Very friendly and helpful staff. Kids also had an awesome time. Toilets are easy to find and reasonably maintained. They also sell simple snacks and drinks. Pricing is not too bad if you plan to frequent this place otherwise can use Groupon voucher offers for a one off visit.

As a self proclaimed “old school gamer” this place is the stuff dreams are made of!!! Having been to arcades in the 80s and 90s I can honestly say this is the best arcade I’ve been to. It’s jam packed full of old school games with with dedicated cabinets and not a skill tester in sight… Loved it! Street Fighter 2 Turbo all the way! Will definitely be going back when next in Brisvegas.

Good fun here, had all the old classics I remembered from pubs and restaurants in the 90’s that I only ever fleetingly got to play as it would bankrupt the family otherwise. No worry of that here as unlimited play once you pay the flat entry fee. Took a pair of seven year olds, they lasted an hour or so. They were a little on the young side to really get some of the games but we all had fun. You forget how hard some them were. If I was to fo back again I’d go solo Would have been nice to have had a couple of goes on the pinball but the set up in Cost structure to do both was a bit prohibitive for what I knew was only a shortish visit. Great to have something different like this to go to. Edit Saw there is a groupon deal, which looks excellent value. Good until November. That would have negated my comment about it being expensive to try pinball and arcade

This place is pretty cool! Now, you can tell the folks here live their machines. There is an amazing collection of classic arcade and a large range of pinball tables. They could do with a little more space. It's not uncommon to encroach on someone's space here to get past to another machine while they are playing, or to touch fingers with the person playing pinball next to you. Would love to see what they could do with a larger area! Will definitely visit again!
